Job Description
The West Plains R-VII School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Successful candidate(s) will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process and the ability to provide opportunities for students to achieve their maximum potential. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention. The successful candidate(s) will also be able to interpret and utilize data to support curriculum decisions and determine effectiveness of instruction.
The primary duty of this position is to provide instruction, guided practice, assessments, remediation and enrichment of Family and Consumer Sciences through a variety of learning opportunities and ensure a positive, successful educational experience for students. Ensures that all students acquire the skills set forth by Missouri Department of Education and West Plains R-VII curriculum. The successful candidate will also be responsible for sponsoring FCCLA
