West Point Bank is seeking a full-time Bank Teller & Customer Service Representative. You will work in a West Point Bank branch, independently and with your branch team. You will need to have excellent communication skills, give attention to detail, and have an aptitude for numbers. In this position, you will operate a teller window, welcome our customers and serve them by processing a variety of transactions and requests.
Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cash handling working experience, preferred
- Promote and cross-sell bank products and services.
- Provide exceptional service to all customers both internal and external.
- Process transactions: deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, payments, wire transfers, etc.
- Responsible for balancing cash and general ledgers as required by policy or process
- Collaborate and brainstorm to improve bank processes and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of the bank policies and financial center procedures and take responsibility to keep up to date on any changes.
- Handle consumer and business customer requests with professionalism, directing more complex issues seamlessly to the Head Teller or other leadership as necessary.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, abiding appropriately to established guidelines and procedures.
- Serve as a bank representative in professional, business, and community organizations to promote bank services.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Minimum of 1 year working experiences in a customer service position, preferred
- Reliable and dependable
- Honest and trustworthy
- Previous experience working directly with the public, preferred
- Position involves extensive cash handling, which requires ability to perform math and balance regularly.
- Position involves contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image.
- Must have the ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public and demonstrate the initiative to initiate dialogue.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software products, preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Sufficient Computer Literacy
