We are growing and are in search of experienced claims litigation examiners to join our team!

This is an in-office position; located in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Our Litigation and Property Claims Examiners employ a high level of customer service to our policyholders by empathetically handling each claim and working efficiently with focus on an amicable indemnity. Our Litigation and Property Claims Examiners also have direct responsibility for handling homeowners, bodily injury, personal injury and property damage liability files m from initial claims set up through final resolution of the claim, including litigation.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintain litigation files through workflow via litigation management software (Experience w / Case Glide or similar software a plus)
  • Communicate with defense attorneys regarding :
  • Status of cases
  • Sufficient movement on cases
  • Demands
  • Discovery responses
  • Strengths and weaknesses of cases
  • Potential strategies for defense
  • Attend CR Depositions on behalf of carrier.
  • Communicate status updates to management.
  • Maintain adequate reserving of claim throughout the litigation process.
  • Update claims file as case matures.
  • Maintain diary system within company standards.
  • Requirements

    The Ideal Candidate will possess :

  • At least five years of litigation experience.
  • At least two years of experience in Florida Homeowners P&C claims handling preferred.
  • Maintain currently active Florida adjuster license and complies with continuing education ("CE") requirements.
  • Excellent time management, organization, mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, solve complex problems and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office© products
  • Additional Info :

    Our office is located in Pinellas County. This position is an in-office position. Typical Office hours are 8 : 30-5 : 00 pm Monday-Friday; however, slight variations in schedule can be accommodated.

    Physical requirements :

    This position is in an office environment and would require :

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50%- 75% of the time
  • The person in this role needs to occasionally move about inside the building to access office machinery and support team members
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine, phone / headset, and key board.
