Bakery Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and excellent service. This position requires a passion for the food industry, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including bread, pastries, and desserts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Help customers with inquiries about products and assist them in selecting items.
• Perform basic math calculations for pricing and inventory management.
• Stock shelves and display cases with baked goods, ensuring freshness and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
• Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality of baked goods.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or café environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for accurate pricing and inventory management.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; certification is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are highly valued.
• Experience in the food industry is beneficial but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Some weekend availability is a must! Hours typically range from 4am to noon! Enjoy morning hours with nights off!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
