Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Job Description
Summary:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and Painting Industrial equipment, support structures, small parts
- Mix paint and some epoxy systems
- Provide an evenly coated finish free of runs and paint voids
- Completing Jobs on time and maintaining a flow through the paint area
- PM of the paint equipment and maintaining a clean work area
- Willing to work OT as schedule requires, sometimes with short notice
- Moving large assemblies with a forklift. Must be able to certify on company fork lifts
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Must be able to operate forklifts safely, knowledgeable in rigging and lifting large, heavy equipment in tight quarters. Ability to operate over head and jib cranes.
- Ability to paint industrial equipment with different types of paint, some two-part epoxy systems.
- Knowledge of different types of paint
- Ability to PM the paint equipment and to keep the paint guns and hoses clean and in good working condition
- Repair and rebuild paint guns as necessary
Education/Experience:
3-5 years of prior painting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with the ability to properly prepare and paint industrial equipment; ability to properly maintain spraying equipment.
Math Ability:
Basic math ability in order to mix paint and components to correct ratios
Computer Skills:
Basic Computer skills in order to enter time correctly

Physical Demands:
Must be in good physical shape with ability to pass physical exam including respiratory check
Drug testing before and during employment
Be able to wear a respirator for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 75 lbs occasionally
Be able to work in high temp area
Average to above average eyesight
Ability to work in awkward physical positions required to prepare and paint products, including long periods of standing, kneeling, or reaching over head to coat areas out of reach
