West Side Beer Distributing is seeking to fill an open full time Shelf Set/Special Events Coordinator in Kalamazoo.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for all shelf set/space management objectives established by the company, suppliers and retailers. Duties include the planning/development and implementation of customized schematics for designated accounts, electronic tracking of all assigned shelf sets and reporting. Additional duties consist of setup, attend and teardown of special events as scheduled. Assist in the process of pulling trailers, hanging signage, handling equipment and ensure mobile bars are pouring product according to company standards. Responsible for adhering to all company policies, standard operating procedures, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

- Maintain positive customer relations, through Shelf Set and Special Events.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Implement, monitor and track all space management activity.
- Know and understand our product portfolio and why specific brands/packages need space/position provided vs. competitive brands.
- Reset shelf tags, merchandising elements, cooler sticks and pricing as needed during the reset process.
- Maintain current and accurate pricing according to company, supplier and chain account guidelines.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Check inventory levels and rotation, and monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards.
- Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning.

- Assist Events with selection of brands and packages at events.
- Check product for events out and into warehouse before and after event.
- Pulling of Trailers between warehouse and event locations.
- Collect Event license and check dates before providing access to product and pouring at event, and turn into office.

- Demonstrate proper lifting techniques to move full and empty kegs of beer at events
- Hang signage promoting our brands as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred (four Year College or university)
Experience: Two to four years related experience
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and relevant Space Management software.
Certificates & Licenses: Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC), Valid Driver’s Licenses, Chauffer’s License, and MDOT Physical.
Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report must meet insurance company guidelines.
Salary : $19
