West Side Beer Distributing is looking to fill our open Zone Manager position in our Kalamazoo branch. The position services St. Joseph, Cold Water, and Sturgis. POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising Sales Representatives covering the On, Off and Chain segments in a predetermined zone. This position oversees and manages the implementation of all sales and marketing objectives. Responsible for adhering to and holding their direct reports accountable to all company policies, standard operating procedures, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

- Lead your team to deliver on company sales objectives within your Zone.
- Analyze sales data to uncover and act upon opportunities within your Zone.
- Conduct market days with your Sales Representatives.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
- Know and understand supplier programs, PFP programs and WSB market and company sales goals and objectives
- Check inventory levels and rotation and monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards.
- Oversee the planning and execution of product displays in retail stores and make recommendations to retailers regarding product displays, promotional programs, and advertising.
- Understand the space management program and building of retail shelf space vs. competition.
- Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning.
- Responsible for training and development according to company standards. Ensure all direct reports complete training requirements.
- Know and understand all competitive pricing.
- Know and understand the chain programming in all key chain retail accounts
- Understand the basics of draft systems and troubleshooting processes on premise.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university)
Experience: Two to four years related experience
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Certificates & Licenses: Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC); Valid Driver’s Licenses.
Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report must meet insurance company guidelines.
