Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting physical fitness and overall well-being among students through engaging physical education classes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement physical education lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Instruct students on various physical activities, sports, and exercises
- Educate students on the importance of physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices
- Record student progress and participation in class activities
- Provide feedback to students to help them improve their physical skills
- Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Prior experience or knowledge of working with children with diverse abilities in an educational setting is a plus
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is a plus
Note
This position is 25-30 hours per week during the school year of August - June. West Side offers a summer camp program where teachers may choose to work (full or part-time) during the summer months for additional pay.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
