Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing high-quality medical services to a variety of animals, including pets and equines. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a commitment to ongoing education, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues and develop treatment plans.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide emergency care and critical care for animals in need.
- Utilize animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the animal and staff during examinations and procedures.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Participate in laboratory testing and analysis as needed for diagnosis.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Experience or interest in equine veterinary medicine is a plus.
- Proficiency in animal handling, restraint, catheterization, and critical care practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with pet owners and their animals.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the veterinary field.
