What you can expect as an Aircraft Records Analyst at West Star:

This position is responsible for reviewing historical records of aircraft maintenance logs to establish accurate status of inspections, life limits, and maintenance tasks on multiple brands and models of most modern-day jet aircraft. You will enter and maintain data into various databases and reports while working independently and with Team Leaders or Inspectors to ensure data accuracy while providing customer-oriented service. You will also assist the Manager of Quality, Chief Inspector, Inspectors, Supervisors and other Aircraft Records Analysts with various administration tasks and duties within the department.

You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

  • Research all maintenance documentation for an aircraft to construct an accurate report of the condition of records and status (inspections, life limits, AD's, etc.) of a specific aircraft.
  • Review aircraft records to ensure they are complete, chronological, and note any potential damage history.
  • Inspect aircraft records, maintenance tracking information, and conduct necessary on-aircraft inspections to verify part numbers and serial numbers of critical components to ensure they match the records.
  • Ensure that the aircraft maintenance tracking systems contain all applicable maintenance and inspection tasks required by the manufacturer, installed STC's, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, etc.
  • Perform conformity inspections of aircraft.
  • Work with customers and other maintenance facilities to ensure accurate data is gathered and missing data is obtained.
  • Prepare applications for airworthiness certification (i.e., import, export, special flight authorization, special flight permits, etc.)
  • Support Quality Control Inspectors by performing Quality Assurance Inspector duties and preparing return to service documentation when requested from Quality Leadership
  • Inventory aircraft records upon arrival and departure and ensure sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed to maintain chain of custody of customers' records while in the company's possession.
  • Train, coach, and mentor co-workers in the performance of their duties.
  • Maintain exceptional team oriented and customer satisfaction work habits.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate in English (i.e., speak, write, read).
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by Quality Assurance Manager.
Requirements:

What you will need to bring with you:

Your Education

A High school diploma or equivalent.

A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

1-2 years of Foreign Language helpful (German, Spanish, French, Portuguese)

Your Experience

Computer literacy required.

Aircraft experience required.

3-4 years turbine aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Previous log research experience required.

Customer service experience preferred.

This person will need to have strong attention to detail, be well organized and able to prioritize workload efficiently.

Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Able to travel, work weekends, overtime, and any shift as required.

Notify the supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Other Particulars:

Physical Requirements

Able to lift at least 25lbs.

Routine walking, bending and sitting.

Sit at a desk and/or computer for extended intervals.

Walk short distances routinely.

Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.

Basic personal computer operations.

Mental Requirements

Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.

Work with others in a professional manner.

Prioritize and control workload.

Understand/implement systematic changes to existing processes.

Proficiency in technical data relating to aircraft maintenance and modifications.

Working Conditions

Majority of work will be accomplished in an office environment.

Some routine work in maintenance shop environment.

Some occasional work outside hangars may occur.

8-hour days will be standard, however occasional overtime may be required.

Equipment Used

Personal computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corridor and various cost and scheduling programs. Fax machine, telephone, and photocopier.
