Administrative Accounting Assistant
West Suburban Fire District (hiring@westsuburbanfire.org) is the coming together of the Loretto Volunteer Fire Department and the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department, two distinguished fire departments with over 160 combined years of protecting and serving the community. We are seeking an individual to become a contributing member of our office staff. The selected candidate will work in our main office located in Loretto, MN.
This is a part-time position, with a typical work week of M, W or Th (2x 6hr days) with some flexibility as needed).
Job Summary
Experienced Administrative Accounting Assistant focusing in accounts payable and payroll services. Adept in using company database software to create spreadsheets and developing reports to be used for business planning. You will field phone calls and emails, process and file paperwork, and maintain relationships with our vendors and residents of the community. We prefer candidates who have an associate’s degree in accounting, but we are willing to consider those without a degree who have administrative experience. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Associates degree in accounting (preferred)
- Bookkeeping experience is a plus
- Administrative office experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Aptitude with computer software programs utilized by the company
- Excellent administrative skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to self-motivate
- Ability to work together with others
