Job Description Summary:
Job Profile SummaryResponsible for supervising and managing contract staff working on grant activities funded under the Community Anti-Drug initiatives including, but not limited to, Lifeline Peer Project, Hybrid Lifeline project, Faith-Based Initiative, Tennessee Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success Regional, Regional First Responders: Resource Engagement Specialty Team, Coalitions, and Regional Opioid Prevention Specialists. Coordinates activities associated with coalition grant funds including day-to-day activities, submitting invoices for payment, completing all grant reports as required by the grant contract, co-moderate coalition meetings, approve expenditures, and serve as coalition liaison.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise contract staff working on grant activities funded under Community Anti-Drug initiatives.
- Review and approve staff timecards, mileage, reimbursements then forward to Director for payment.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities and manage resources of the Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition.
- Coordinate budgets and budget revisions with Grants and Licensure Manager Coordinate projects of the Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition throughout the community
- Responsible for community relations and disseminate information about the Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition and its programs locally and nationally Coordinate and co-moderate all Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition meetings.
- Approve all expenditures incurred as a result of Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition activities Act as the liaison between Jackson-Madison Prevention, Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America (CADCA), Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, and the community.
- Attend local government meetings which may have pertinent issues related to the Jackson-Madison Prevention Coalition. Seek and inform Coalition of possible funding.
- Research and inform Coalition of prevention trends and current ATOD issues Provide representation for Coalition at all required meetings and trainings
- Provide oversight for the deliverability of evidence-based prevention programs and strategies
- Obtain Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) certification as required by funding Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:
- Obtain Certified Prevention Specialist certification as required by grant contract within one year
EXPERIENCE:
- Five years working experience preferred
- Background experience in anti-drug development and implementation preferred
- Strong experience in working with various community-based public and non-profit agencies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and other software
INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in oral and written communications skills.
- Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the departmen
