PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow written POC program as given by supervising therapists, based on the individual patient needs and physician approval, to obtain goals.
- Communicate on a regular basis with supervising therapists’ approval, to obtain goals.
- Provide appropriate clinical followup by reporting unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
- Participate in case coordination regularly with staff nurses and physicians and documents appropriately in medical record.
- Use universal precautions and infection control as required to prevent cross contamination and transmission of disease with patients.
- Agency Acute Care Hospital rate is below average.
- Facilitate patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues related to patient’s ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with current license to practice occupational therapy
- Current Certification in BSL/CPR
- Home Health Experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Insurance
- Knowledge of WellSky EMR software is a plus
