Qualifications Needed:
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Knowledge of agricultural and construction machinery sales
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Have good interpersonal skills and able to establish relationships with personnel and customers
- Knowledge of parts and service and/or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of stock management procedures to maintain inventory levels
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with customer base
- Identify new potential customers, understand their business, determine their needs, and develop plans and actions to generate new sales
- Manage all sales activities of potential sales including:
o Follow up with sales leads
o Initiate new sales
o Tend to walk-in business at store location
o Engage with financing companies and be the liaison between finance companies and the customer when needed
o Make sure equipment is delivered timely
o Ensure that the sale is collected in full
- Communicate with management the status sales and equipment inventory
- Work closely with management on upcoming leads and forecast potential marketing and sales plans
- Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support
- Supervise the parts and service personnel
- Check out existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements to customers
- Replenish used inventory through auctions, contacts, and equipment listings
- Monitor and analyze aftersales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in aftersales services
