Description
Works with Utility Billing customers, researches to facilitate correct billing, handles phone calls, participates in data entry associated with billing & asset management software. Creates “Work Orders” and “Requests for Service” to meet needs of all customers seeking assistance from the WVC Public Works Department.
Starting Pay: $16.60 - $18.59

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates with the public, handling complaints, explaining, listening, and sharing information about services provided by Public Works though verbal and written communication.
- Performs clerical work involving the exercise of independent and/or un-reviewed judgment.
- Participates in the analytical process of finding correct billing information to facilitate contact with customers.
- Works with several software packages requiring a working knowledge of computer protocols and systems. Proficient with Word, Excel, Cityworks, Utility Billing Software, ESRI software, and email.
- Complies with established practices for data entry in billing software.
- Exercises the ability to comprehend software operational logic; in addition to knowing what steps to follow to complete tasks in the software program.
- Initiates verbal contact with customers as needed; including delinquent accounts.
- Uses the Cityworks to create Work Orders and Requests for Service. In addition, completes tasks required to close out Work Orders as assigned.
- Assists customers, vendors, and delivery personal that come to office with needs, such as: how recycling works, accepting deliveries, notification of Public Works Building employees of visitors, dispense cans to walk in’s, etc.
- Other Duties as assigned.
