Our members provide a broad continuum of services to West Virginia citizens, including mental health, addictions, children’s services, and individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Last year, our members provided services to more than 80,000 adults and children across 630 locations.
Job Description:
The Population Health Data Project Manager will lead the implementation and ongoing management of the population health data project. This role is critical in enhancing the capacity of the WVBHPA and its member organizations to use data effectively to improve health outcomes within the communities served in Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data management, population health trends, and experience in collaborative project management.
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
·A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, data science, statistics, or 2 years of experience working in a related field
· Experience and expertise in data management, design, and implementation
· Strong communication skills
· Comfortable presenting to and training groups of individuals
· Ability to work on a team and independently
· General knowledge of privacy and security (i.e. HIPAA)
· Proficiency in excel or experience with SQL or Qlik is preferable
· Ability to learn new technology and outcome measurement tools
· Experience in working with Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
Job Duties:
· Track business associate and other data use agreements
· Assist with managing contracts with data partners
· Work on a team with the development and implementation of health information technology (HIT) tools
· Provide technical assistance via the WVBHPA’s CareManager Help Desk
· Provide training to end users of the HIT tools the WVBHPA utilizes including CareManager, report building, utilization of Qlik, and the Association’s Data Warehouse
· Update user manuals including the CareManager User Guide, System Administrator Guide, Reports Guide, and other manuals as more projects (e.g. MCO, DM Outreach) are developed and implemented
· Participate in meetings and presentations and report on technology initiatives and updates
· Support privacy and security practices of the Association such as becoming an expert in HIPAA
· Other duties as assigned
