JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION : COUNTY CURRICULUM CHAIRPERSON
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Appropriate County Office Director
FLSA / CONTRACT STATUS : Extracurricular

EVALUATION : By immediate supervisor as needed
JOB SUMMARY : Cooperates with county director to provide curriculum and instructional leadership by coordinating county-wide activities in curriculum and instruction.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Communications are maintained between teachers in the particular curriculum area and county staff concerning matters of curriculum and instruction;
- Meetings are called as needed with a previously announced agenda and date; co-chairs meeting with county director; writes minutes and submits them immediately following meetings to the appropriate director for the inclusion dissemination with other county-wide communication;
- The goal-setting process for committee is facilitated including needs assessment and plans of action;
- Responsibility as Staff Development Coordinator for Committee is fulfilled; helps to plan staff development for county curriculum meetings including Fall Staff Development Day; completes required forms and documentation;
- Leadership is assumed in county textbook review process and for appropriate equipment materials and supplies;
- Assistance is given the county director on curriculum development writing teams in curriculum area;
- The county director is assisted in coordination of county-wide student activities; and
- Performs duties as assigned by immediate supervisor(s).
QUALIFICATIONS :
