TITLE: After School Detention Teacher
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure and an employee of the Harrison County Board of Education
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal
SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools
SALARY AND DUTIES:
1. Supports state, county and school alternative education policies and procedures.
2. Exemplifies appropriate personal conduct, including dependability, reliability, punctuality, and self-control.
3. Will effect positive behavior in disruptive students.
4. Will demonstrate effective leadership and/or mentoring skills in working with youth.
5. Will demonstrate behavior management skills.
6. Will demonstrate the ability to create a stimulating and motivating environment for at-risk students.
7. Will maintain accurate records on all assigned students.
