TITLE: Band Auxiliary Advisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Professional licensure and an employee of a Board of Education
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal
SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools
SALARY: Per Harrison County Board of Education extra curricular pay schedule, 130 hours maximum
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
1. Supervise selection process of auxiliary band units.
2. Provide instruction necessary for performance.
3. Organize summer camp in preparation for performance.
4. Schedule and conduct a regular program of practice.
5. Select all uniforms.
6. Enforce disciplined and sportsmanlike behavior at all times.
7. Keep accurate records of grades, parent consent forms and such reports as may be required.
8. Administer the receipt and disbursement of cash funds associated with this activity.
9. Work closely with the band director regarding all decisions and performances involving band auxiliary units.
10. Maintain open lines of communication between principal, band director, and parents of participants.
