TITLE: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Itinerant – HB: Central Office
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Board Certified Behavior Analyst
2. Master’s Degree in Education or Related Field.
REPORTS TO: Administrative Assistant for Special Services
JOB GOAL: Provide direct and consultative therapeutic and evaluative services for prevention, diagnostic, and intervention purposes in the school setting. The BCBA conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavioral analytic interpretations of the result. The BCBA teaches others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions and instructional strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Develop/assist with individual behavior management programs for students in the classroom and school setting.
2. Conduct professional development to profession and service personnel in service delivery, data collection, and principles of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis).
3. Provide school or individual staff consultation on implementation of PBIPs.
4. Provide program, classroom, or individual staff consultation on development/implementation of ABA-based instructional strategies.
5. Participate in SAT/IEP/504 team meetings
6. Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Classroom Needs Assessments, and Skills-Based Assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS, etc.)
7. Review required PBIP (Positive Behavior Intervention Plan) and ABA-based instructional strategies with school staff, as necessary.
8. Schedule and document personal provision of services to students
9. Maintain daily intervention notes/service logs.
10. Provide guidance for and indirect monitoring of staff entries in daily behavior logs
11. Assist school-based staff with development of ABA-based instructional strategies specific to student needs or as outlined in diagnostic evaluation(s)
12. Provide consultation to parents/families regarding carryover of strategies from school to home and the community
13. Advise teacher, administrators, and specialists of recommendations regarding changes/revisions to services in student IEPs
14. Address district/family questions or concerns regarding social-behavioral characteristics of student 15. Perform other duties as requested by the direct supervisor, within the scope of job description.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 230 Days
SALARY: According to Marion County Salary Schedule.
