- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must meet all regulations of the Summers County Board of Education West Virginia Department of Education, and WV State Law
- Must hold or be able to obtain Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher credential.
- Hold or be eligible to hold required credentials or coursework required by HB 3035.
- Assist the teacher in instructional activities as directed.
- Shares in the responsibility of protecting students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Performs limited rotating supervisory duties not related to instruction.
- Implements Summers County Schools' academic initiatives
- Participates in instruction and assessment as directed by the classroom teacher and principal
- Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to create a conducive student learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management, behavior interventions, and effective classroom procedures.
- Maintain positive work habits.
- Performs duties efficiently and productively.
- Participate in professional development to increase skills in delivering content related instruction.
- Performs any and all other job related duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, building principal or appropriate county supervisor.
