Substitute Teacher/Long Term Substitute Teacher
The West Virginia Department of Education is seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher/Long Term Substitute Teacher to fill a vacant position at Maysville Elementary School.
Job Summary
This is a substitute teaching position for the 24-25 school year, with the possibility of extending into a long-term substitute role. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in grades K-5, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes, following the established curriculum and instructional plans;
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities;
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation;
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly;
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure a collaborative approach to student success;
Requirements
- A valid WV Professional Teaching Certificate or Long Term Sub permit;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and staff;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
