- Organizing daily practices, providing input to the head coach regarding one’s specific coaching assignment.
- Evaluating player performance, specifically regarding the position group and/or age group one primarily works with. This includes evaluation for post-season awards and/or recognition by the WVSSAC, OVAC, TRAC, or other organization(s).
- Promoting and supervising off-season conditioning programs, including (but not limited to) assisting with weeks 50, 51, and 52 of the WVSSAC calendar.
- Preparation of game day equipment and field/game surface maintenance.
- Supervision of student managers, scorekeepers, and student trainers.
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment and uniforms, including distribution of equipment and uniforms at the beginning of the season and collection and storage of equipment and uniforms at the end of the season.

- Attend all West Virginia Secondary Schools Athletics Commission (WVSSAC), Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC), and Two Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) meetings required of your sport or as required by the head coach, the athletic director, and/or principal.

- Abide by the policies set forth in the Brooke High School Coaches’ Handbook.

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Football Coach (2 positions) - 24/25SY
LOCATION: Brooke High School
Qualifications: Certification or licensure as required by the West Virginia Board of Education and the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities
Commission.
Reports to: Head Coach, Athletic Director, Principal, Assistant
Principal, designee as assigned by the Superintendent of
Schools.
Job Goals: To assist the head coach in directing activities normally associated with
coaching.
Job Duration: Coaching contract shall terminate and/or renewed annually at the end of
the designated school year or may be terminated at any time for just cause pursuant to West Virginia Code §18A-2-8 or by the mutual consent of the parties.
Duties:
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance
with Policy 5310 and the provisions of Brooke County Board of Education Policy of Evaluation of Coaches.
