What are the responsibilities and job description for the Show Choir, Bridgeport Middle position at West Virginia Department of Education?
- Schedule and conduct all rehearsals.
- Provide refinement of choral technique, dance technique and expanded repertoire in the area of Show Choir.
- Audition, teach and train participants for Show Choir.
- Perform publicly outside of home-school environment.
- Provide choral music for graduation ceremonies, if such ceremonies are conducted and required.
- Maintain records, reports and inventories as may be required and submits requested information by designated time.
- Accept advice and suggestions in a constructive manner.
- Submit requisitions for purchase of choral music to proper authority within designated budget and designated deadline.
- Attend music in-services, workshops, conferences and meetings during the academic school year as required to meet obligations.
- Coordinate all activities with the school principal.
- Exercise due cautions to the safety of students.
- Participate in the West Virginia State Show Choir Festival and other music festivals and/or invitational’s.
- Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervisor may, from time to time, assign.
