JOB DESCRIPTION
Lincoln County Schools
Part-time Interventionist
A. QUALIFICATIONS
1- Valid WV Teaching Certification
2. Certification in one or more of the following areas
1. Elementary Education (K-6), Reading Specialist (PreK–Adult), Early Childhood Education (K-4)
English (5-AD), English (5-9), Math K-8, Multi-Categorical - K-12.
B. TO WHOM ACCOUNTABLE
1. Under the direct supervision of the building principal
2. Work with the County Curriculum Team
C. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work intensively with identified students using modern instructional strategies that are targeted and dynamic.
2. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers utilizing instructional planning
time built into the schedule.
3. Prepare weekly plans for each student/group.
4. Keep accurate and current data on each student using a county-wide template
5. Demonstrate competence in standards-based lesson design and implementation.
6. Complete and submit all reports promptly.
7. Monitor student progress toward mastery of content standards and objectives.
8. Identify and refer any child with learning deficiencies to the SAT team and the classroom teacher.
9. Create and maintain a classroom climate conducive to learning for all students.
10. Attend all faculty senate and other required meetings.
11. Utilize district-provided intervention resources.
12. Participate in school and district in-service trainings to gain knowledge of school and
district initiatives.
14. Support school-based staff with the utilization of district provided intervention resources.
15. Use benchmarks, formative assessments, and screeners to gather data and guide instructional plans.
16. Use data to assist in creating and monitoring intervention groups.
16. Maintain professional work habits and meet all professional responsibilities.
17. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
18. Communicate effectively with the educational community and parents/guardians on a
regular basis
G. Terms of Employment:
Pay - $25 per hour – up to 25 hours per week.
Work times and grade levels taught to be determined by needs of the school and Principal
Position beginning February 2025 through June 30, 2025
Funding Source: - Title I Funding - Future funding for positions will be determined annually.
Evaluation: Building Principal or designee Per Policy 5310
Staff will utilize the Celeritime system to record hours worked.
Salary : $25
