What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Telecommunicator Trainee (Fairmont) position at West Virginia State Police?
Receives, responds, transmits, answers, and/or verifies messages and/or inquiries received over communication equipment. Operates all applicable radio equipment/computer terminal/telephone equipment, dispatches/receives radio/computer data/telephone communications. Ability to type accurately at a rate of 25 w.p.m. Shift work required. Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with state benefits.
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in public contact work.
Special Requirements: A successful background check. (31,850 Base Salary, upon successful completion of training will advance into the Career Progression System)
