About The Opportunity
This position assists in management of fueling station including keeping inventory, stocking, and staffing.
What You'll Do
- Assists sports dietitians with day-to-day operations of the nutrition department, reports directly to Assistant Football Dietitian.
- Meet inventory needs by coordinating ordering and purchasing based on current inventory demand.
- Develop nutrition education materials & resources, including social media content.
- Assists in management of student volunteers.
- Delegates work tasks to ensure the proper operational needs of the fueling station to fueling station volunteers.
- Assist with catering/vendor orders and set-up as needed.
- Assists in game day and travel operations.
- Assists with other tasks as assigned.
Length of Assignment: 8.5 Months
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
- Background and strong interest in sports nutrition.
- Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
- Ability to work a non-standard workweek, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Proficient in computer skills such as Excel, Word, Piktochart, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete work tasks with minimal direction.
- Ability to be punctual, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and adhere to West
- Virginia University, Big 12 and NCAA bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains professional behavior between athletes, coaches, and football staff.
