Started in 2014 with an area of emphasis, the B.S.B.A. in SCM major was launched in 2016, and the newest offering is a B.S. in Supply Chain Management Science was launched in 2024. Today, with 150 enrolled students enrolled in either the B.S.B.A in SCM major or the newer B.S. in Supply Chain Management Science (STEM) degree, one of only a handful in the United States, the SCM program is one of the fastest growing programs in the college. We are most proud of the award-winning research and excellent teaching reputation of our six full-time faculty (five tenure track) who consistently publish in the highest impact outlets included on the FT50, UTD, and SCM8 journal lists. Our faculty prides itself on bringing its innovative and impactful newly-created knowledge into the classroom to enhance students' learning. Besides the rigorous STEM curriculum, our students are exposed to experiential learning opportunities throughout the program, culminating in a capstone project class, where students directly interact with business organizations to tackle a variety of live, real-world high-impact SCM problems. Hence, it is no surprise that our students regularly compete and win against the top SCM programs in the country beating Penn State, Carnegie Mellon, and University of Pittsburgh, to take first place at the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Business School's Race to the Case competition for four years in a row.
