Under general supervision, performs full-performance professional work in accounting/auditing duties for the Division of Administrative Services (DAS) and the agencies serviced by the DAS. Gathers and analyzes financial information to ensure that general ledger entries provide the CFO and Commissioners with accurate and actionable reports relative to each agency's financial position. Gathers incoming payments and posts to Quickbooks accounts receivable module to provide the CFO with revenue reports. Performs financial analysis as requested by the CFO and Accounting Supervisor. Develops documented procedures for the general ledger and receivable posting (WVOasis). Gathers and analyzes data from the WVOasis and Quickbooks to assist the Accounting Supervisor in preparation of financial reports. Manages the fixed assets in Quickbooks to provide the necessary additions, disposals, and depreciation for the financial reporting. Gathers information to provide, in a timely manner, requisite information to external auditors to ensure that proper controls are in place to mitigate financial risk. Assists with the preparation of reports and reconciliations for the external audit; also assists in the reviews of grant documentation for the Justice and Community Services Section.
