The West Virginia Division of Finance is now hiring an Administrative Services Assistant 1 (ASA 1) in Charleston, WV. This is a great opportunity to work in a position that provides fiscal and procurement support in Shared Services. The ASA 1 will: Oversee the entire payment cycle of general accounting and procurement documents for various assigned state agencies and boards/commissions. Enter and verify payments against contracts, placing orders, receiving goods to vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, and timely processing financial transactions.Confer with inter-agency and various Board personnel to transact business, gather information, or discuss information; may be in a position with public or state government contact. Will assist in the writing of manuals in the area of assignment. Proficiency of accounting in the wvOASIS financial system is necessary in this position.As a condition of employment, an inquiry into job-related information may be completed which may include but is not limited to, criminal records, abuse registry records, driving records, employment history, and education and training.
