Under limited direction, this position will assist the Director of the Foster Care Ombudsman (FCO) Division. It will work with lawmakers to identify and effectuate systemic issues and policy modifications to safeguard the children and families of West Virginia. Responsibilities include formulating plans, researching other local and federal systems and procedures, developing and directing the larger vision, and assisting with the management of all operations and functions of the FCO Division to ensure that all duties and responsibilities, as described in West Virginia Code and corresponding legislative rules and policies, are performed. The position may assist with the budget development, procedures, policies, and guidelines governing the operation of the FCO Division while serving in a liaison role with state and local agencies.
