An employee in this class performs a variety of tasks related to the classification of the inmates, and programming for inmates at the St. Mary's Correctional Center and Jail. The work may involve a high degree of mental stress from constant contact with the inmates. This employee must have the ability to prepare initial classification and reclassification summaries as a member of the classification committee. Provides both individual and group counseling for inmates. Coordinate and supervise social services and programs for inmates. Consults with medical and metal health professionals regarding treatment for inmates. Must be able to prepare individual treatment plans for inmates. Review and evaluate progress of inmates as it relates to the treatment plan. Complete and distribute inmate financial affidavits. Performs related work as required.
