What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Operator 1 - Human Services - BFA - Clay Co. position at West Virginia?
This position performs full-performance-level work in converting hard copy letters, forms, and other paper documents into electronic imaging formats. The employee collaborates with agency staff, as well as with other state, federal, or local government agencies and public or private entities, to clarify document contents for accurate processing. Responsibilities include operating computer software and navigating both local and wide area networks within a multi-platform environment.
All incoming paper documents must be scanned into the eRAPIDS system. Due to the high volume of daily paper received, each office requires a dedicated role to manage scanning operations. This position also supports staff across multiple divisions—including Family Assistance, Social Services, Operations, and other regional and state administrative units.
Additional duties include logging, sorting, and distributing mail to appropriate staff; tracking and purging case records; conducting daily reviews of employee driver’s license statuses; and maintaining state vehicles.

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience using PC based software such as word processing, database or spreadsheet or in electronic document management imaging or scanning documents.
