Special Hiring Rates: $45,052.80 - Department of Health, Bureau for Public Health, Office of Laboratory Services (SPB 3073)This is an entry-level position in the Environmental Chemistry Section. The duties for this position include performing standardized quantitative chemical analysis of drinking water as assigned by the Section Supervisor using gas chromatograph/mass spectrometry, flame atomic absorption, inductively-coupled plasma emission, ion chromatography and selective ion electrode instrumentation. This position conducts a variety of laboratory tests and analyses according to standard operating procedures, safely and effectively operates and maintains scientific instruments, performs quality control and quality assessment procedures, maintains stock chemicals and consumables, and interprets data under close supervision.
