What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Secretary position at West Wilson Middle?
EFFECTIVE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Qualified applicant must have minimum of high school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education or training is preferred.
Must have at least one (1) year of comparable work experience. Extensive software skills, internet research capabilities, and strong communication skills are required.
The successful candidate will have administrative and office responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, welcoming parents, checking in visitors using the County's security program, fielding telephone calls, and receiving and directing visitors. Applicants will also be working in multiple computer programs throughout the day, along with using Word, Google, and Excel.
This is a full-time, 260-day (12 months) position with insurance and retirement benefits. Pay rate will be determined by experience (up to 16 years comparable) and placement on Grade 9 of the Hourly Classified Salary Schedule. Starting pay rate will be no less than $19.48 per hour.
