Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining an organized and productive environment, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled properly.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is a plus.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including order pickers, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Must possess valid forklift certification or be willing to obtain certification upon hire.
