West Woods of Niles is a 121-bed skilled nursing facility and top provider of care in Niles, Michigan. We have a part-time employment opportunity for a 2nd shift Dietary aide available.
Schedule:
- Part time!
- Afternoons (be done with work by 8:30pm)
Wage Information:
- Part time: $16.95/hour
- Including $0.85/hour MI Wage Pass Through until 09.30.24
This position reports to: The Dietary Supervisor The primary functions and responsibilities of this position are as follows: (You will be evaluated on your ability to perform these functions competently with minimal supervision and/or reminders.) Additional duties may be added as necessary to meet the needs of the facility.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Follow oral and written directions.
- Set up trays and food service carts accurately and timely.
- Serve and bus trays.
- Pour and cover beverages.
- Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food.
- Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment & work area.
- Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees.
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner as directed by supervisor and perform them in an effective, timely & professional manner.
- Assume accountability for all data contained in the employees’ handbook
- Scrape soiled dishes and load dishwasher properly.
- Maintain steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes.
- Operate an automated dishwasher with solution-dispensing system.
- Sort clean dishes, transport to storage area and store according to dietary procedures.
- Come to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance.
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
- Observe facility safety, infection control and personnel policies and procedures. I have read and understand the functions and requirements of this position.
