We are looking for a driven Process Engineer to join our team. This individual will provide plant-wide continuous improvement that results in exceptional quality performance. You will have the opportunity to reinforce foundational quality principals, as we develop innovative manufacturing and inspection processes to build high quality semiconductor, defense, and data infrastructure products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review ISO documentation/Military Specification as applicable to processes.
- Process control to improve quality, cycle time and cost.
- Review and maintain technological information by attending technical seminars, trade shows, briefings.
- Represent Engineering on TRB.
- Conduct Quarterly Engineering meetings and participate in Westak’s 3-year Plan creation.
- Submit equipment proposals and releases.
- Responsible for training operators/supervisor along with the equipment supplier before releasing new equipment to Production.
- Preventive and corrective action with confirmation or validation.
- Interface with customer and/or vendors on technical issues.
- Assist in methodizing technically challenging jobs as well as assist Pre-Engineering/Front End on complex jobs or other questions that may arise.
- Evaluation and implementation of new equipment, chemical, material, and new processes.
- Review and update Plant Capability Summary.
- Providing support to assist in achieving production and quality goals.
- SPC and Problem solving
- Interface with Government inspectors and act as a Radiation Safety Officer. This includes ensuring compliances on Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, Clean Water Act, Air Quality by submitting reports in a timely manner as well as supporting the Safety Committee to ensure its compliance to OR-OSHA regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth understanding of PCB Manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9002, UL, IPC Standards, Military Specification
- Able to perform and maintain responsibilities and tasks in a timely manner.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
