JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, maintains the Bank's voice network. Coordinates hardware, software/circuit changes, additions and deletions. Diagnoses and solves system and user problems. Monitors hardware, software and circuit performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Works with management in the analysis of departmental telecommunication needs. Performs and coordinates hardware (installations), software/circuit changes, additions and deletions.
2. Monitors network and phone system status in comparison to agreed service standards.
3. Maintains system switches; diagnoses and solves system/user problems. Contacts service contractor and telephone company when required.
4. Works as a back-office support person at the branches. Helping with printers, PC’s, fax machines, camera systems, alarm wiring and other miscellaneous needs of the bank.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prior experience in the telecommunications industry where incumbent has gained a working knowledge of hardware and software installations and modifications with a multi-switch environment. AA degree in related job field preferred. Phone system software certification highly recommended. Genesis VOIP, NEC, Toshiba experience a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Must possess valid state driver's license with good driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Drives company vehicle to company locations to move and or change telecommunication hardware and software. Physically lifts and moves equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Pulls cable. Repairs hardware and software where possible.
MENTAL DEMANDS:
Prioritizes tasks in a multiple project/problem environment.
Be able to work independently
Reads telecommunication & facility blueprints.
Achieves or exceeds company service standards while meeting department's time standards for completion of repairs.
Interprets work request, solves problems and resolves by least expensive method (i.e., repair themselves if possible before calling for assistance from vendors).
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM FUNCTIONS:
Company vehicle, telephone (regular & cellular), terminals, printers, punch-down tools, tone generators, power drills and other manual repair tools.

Balances daily work assignments with daily equipment/line/network problem calls.
Maintains department service standards/commitments to repair/service quality.
