Job Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Westar Energy. The successful candidate will have three years of working experience in one or more crafts, a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and current or former INPO accredited status as Journeyman at Wolf Creek or any other U.S. Nuclear Plant.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide leadership, experience, knowledge, and skill to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, surveillance, calibrations, repairs, rework, removal/installation, and preventative maintenance throughout the plant.
• Develop, prepare, and perform all aspects of assigned work, including department interface, performance, and documentation of such work.
• Assist in moderately complete maintenance tasks as assigned requiring application of knowledge and skills.
• Ensure components and equipment within system are maintained and operated efficiently.
Additional Information
The position requires a satisfactory work record, including good attendance. This is a bargaining unit position.
