Job DescriptionWestat is an employee-owned corporation providing research services to agencies of the U.S. Government, as well as businesses, foundations, and state and local governments. Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.Job Summary : Westat is seeking an IT leader to become part of the corporate IS team that supports the corporate finance IT systems and infrastructure. The environment includes applications and systems that are integrated with Deltek Costpoint platform, Cognos, OnBase, and other products. The successful candidate would help lead team in supporting the daily operations and evolution of the environment and managing efforts for upgrades and transformations. A hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 days per week working on-site at our corporate office in Rockville, Maryland. Please note our corporate office will be moving from Rockville, Maryland to Bethesda, Maryland in late 2025.Job Responsibilities :
- Work with corporate finance teams in understanding IT needs and developing solutions.
- Lead efforts to develop new capabilities and support transformation of environment.
- Work with team members to configure, maintain and upgrade the Costpoint platform.
- Work with Costpoint and the underlying database, developing and revising procedures, queries, and reports.Basic Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Computer Science, Information Systems related fields to include 10 years leadership experience and 3 years technical experience with Deltek’s Costpoint and time collection system, or equivalent ERP system, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Oracle PL / SQL development and SQL reporting experience. Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with systems that support Finance operations such as OnBase or FocusPoint.
- Experience with server and / or database administration, IT system architecture, and other technology-based solutions.
- NET application development experience.Other Required Qualifications :
- Candidate should have excellent communications and technical writing skills.
- Candidate should be able to assess and identify opportunities and solutions to improve the IT infrastructure to support the Finance team.
- Exercise good judgment and possess strong supervisory, problem solving and documentation skills.
