About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll ensure accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate ledgers and balance accounts
- Process vendor invoices and track bank account balances
- Prepare and process client payroll
- Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets
- Complete quarterly and monthly tax filings, including payroll and business taxes
Qualifications:
- 2- or 4-year degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience in accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online
- Experience with CS Professional Suite (Ultra Tax, Accounting CS) is a plus
- Familiarity with payroll processes, including writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
- Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
