What are the responsibilities and job description for the Division Director- Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder Intensive Division position at Westbrook Health Services, Inc?
Summary: Responsible for oversight, day to day operations and clinical practices of all SUD Intensive programs within the agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet consumer and agency needs.
- Oversees day to day functioning of all SUD Intensive programs.
- Supervises SUD Intensive leadership team.
- Clinically supervises SUD clinical team, made up of therapists, case managers, group facilitators and peers.
- Responsible for the implementation and ongoing use of evidence based programing within the SUD residential setting.
- Serve as Project Director for the SAMHSA PPW grant.
- Comply with federal grant tracking requirements.
- Regularly trains staff on topics such as ASAM levels of care, evidence based programming, group facilitation, etc. and ensures appropriate use throughout programs.
- Develops strategies for long range planning to support rapid growth in programs.
- Monitors and updates policies, procedures and operational guidelines of program to ensure compliance.
- Communicates regularly with program staff to stay informed of concerns, questions, needs and achievements.
- Oversees and participates in treatment planning activities.
- Oversees training, communication and information sharing.
- Assists with Continuous Quality Assurance and participate in Utilization Management.
- Works with staff, clients and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services’ mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
Qualification Requirements:
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices in behavioral health treatment.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., HIPAA, CARF, The Joint Commission, CMS).
- Understanding of clinical documentation and data management.
- Familiarity with behavioral health technologies, including electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both clinical and administrative contexts.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with staff, clients, and external stakeholders (e.g., insurance companies, government agencies).
- Familiarity with grant writing, funding sources, and securing funding for behavioral health initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management and quality improvement processes.
Education and/or Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in a human services or other relevant discipline, Master’s Degree in a human services field with an independent license preferred, (LICSW, LPC, Licensed Psychologist).
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and guiding projects.
- 5 years of experience working with individuals or supporting staff working with individuals with substance use disorder
- Knowledge of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) system of care and the 6 dimensions.
- Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background check, as well as post offer observed drug screen.
