Summary: The Residential Supervisor will manage a team of residential staff, ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients, and maintain high standards of care in alignment with our facility’s mission to provide comprehensive, client-centered treatment. This role requires a combination of leadership, clinical knowledge, and organizational skills to support both staff and individuals in recovery.

Supervision & Staff Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of residential counselors and support staff, providing direction, guidance, and professional development.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and training to ensure adherence to facility policies and treatment protocols.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and scheduling of residential staff.
Client Care & Support:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to clients, maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment.
- Work closely with clinical and program teams to monitor and support the progress of clients in treatment.
- Respond to client crises in a timely and effective manner, providing de-escalation and support as necessary.
- Ensure clients are following facility rules and treatment guidelines, addressing any non-compliance in a compassionate and constructive manner.
Program Implementation:
- Oversee the implementation of daily treatment activities, ensuring they are consistent with individualized treatment plans and facility objectives.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a seamless integration of residential care and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor the facility’s residential schedule, ensuring it aligns with client needs and treatment goals.
Facility Operations & Safety:
- Ensure the physical environment of the facility is clean, safe, and conducive to recovery.
- Conduct regular safety checks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all client-related activities, incidents, and staff observations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies needed for the residential program.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between residential staff, clinical teams, and facility administration to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Maintain clear and open communication with clients, families, and external providers as needed.
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to residential operations.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred, extensive experience
considered in lieu of education
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in substance use treatment, with at least 1 year in
supervisory or leadership role preferred
Experience working in residential treatment settings and managing a team is highly preferred.
