Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the psychotherapeutic treatment and case management of patients who range in age from childhood to geriatrics. Subspecialty in particular age group, diagnosis, and treatment modality. Provides individual, family, or group psychotherapy as assigned.
POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide intakes and mental health assessments. Current in crisis intervention.
2. Conduct psychosocial history, which includes provisional DSM-V and ICD-11 diagnosis, treatment plan, and recommended therapies.
3. Provide treatment services
4. Participate in WestCare Wisconsin, Inc education and health programs.
5. Participate in staff meetings and inter-.services client staffing as needed.
6. Participate in continuing education for certification/ license and career upgrade.
7. Participate in community level research with the intent of improving the practice knowledge base
8. Complies with WestCare Wisconsin, Inc policies and procedures.
9. Complete all ongoing record keeping per Wisconsin Administrative Code and clinic requirements.
10. Perform other job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Education: Completing BA in Psychology, Social Work, and an MS Counseling degree through an accredited program meeting requirements for Wisconsin Certification. Obtained license through the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
• Experience: Experience providing an eclectic problem-solving approach to clients seeking short-term interventions and problem resolution
• Expertise: Ability to provide culturally competent services to various clients in a direct, responsive manner. Willingness to confront traditional barriers concerning servicing patients with different mental health diagnoses. Interactive solid "team" skills within a primary medical care setting. Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy toward patients. Able to develop teaching and counseling sessions as needed. Must be able to adapt to changing situations and circumstances. Must be willing and able to assume and delegate patient needs as a healthcare team member.
Salary : $51,480
