Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draftsman to create technical drawings and plans based on project specifications. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to translate concepts into precise blueprints and layouts. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to interpret design requirements accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Interpret and translate conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications into working drawings.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Modify and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or site conditions.
- Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Assist in creating material lists, cost estimates, and project documentation as required.
- Conduct site visits and field measurements to gather necessary data for accurate drafting.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Understanding of engineering, architectural, or construction principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software (preferred but not required).
Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a drafting role (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions).
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards (architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, or structural drafting).
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with potential site visits as needed.
- Collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers.
