ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a full-time Assistant Pickleball & Squash Professional. The Assistant Pickleball & Squash Professional is responsible for assisting and supporting the Director of Squash & Pickleball with the organization and direction of all Club squash activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments and lessons. Effectively engages Members to promote the Squash & Pickleball program, pickleball and squash lessons, clinics, programs, events and tournaments, etc.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Assistant Pickleball & Squash Professional must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Director of Pickleball and Squash, including but not limited to :
- Assists Director of Squash & Pickleball with the design, organizing and promotion of the squash and pickleball programs including squash and pickleball activities, lessons, clinics, events, exhibitions, tournaments, etc.
- Provides quality lessons and clinics relating to the techniques and strategies of squash and pickleball to Members and guests of all ages and abilities.
- Responsible for assisting with the organization, administration of squash and pickleball tournaments, exhibitions, team matches and social events.
- Officiates at pickleball and squash tournaments as necessary.
- Strings racquets and performs other light equipment repairs.
- Provides the coordination and execution of other squash and racquets programs as directed.
- Responsible to assist with the development and promotion of squash and pickleball lessons, clinics, programs, etc.
- Provides the leadership and development of other Assistant Racquets Professionals and provides the coordination and potential development of other staff Members.
- Ensures that all Club Members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to their squash and pickleball needs.
- Provides input and suggestions and works with the Director of Squash & Pickleball and Racquets Committee in the development of a detailed annual calendar of events and programs. Effectively coordinates with the Professionals from other sports as well as with the Club’s various social events.
- Utilizes Club email and website systems in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
- Attends all meetings as directed.
- Responsible for the development of a strong, comprehensive junior pickleball and squash programs for all ages and abilities and assists with other Club programs as directed such as the Junior Summer Programs.
- Coordinates effectively with the maintenance staff to ensure that the courts and other areas are consistently and impeccably clean.
- Assists the Director of Squash & Pickleball with the development of Ladies and Men’s singles and doubles squash and pickleball programs.
- Responsible to assist with the coordination and timely ordering of any food & beverage for upcoming events.
- Ensures accurate records and files are kept for all tournament results.
- Assists in maintaining hours of operation for the Racquets Pro Shop as directed by the General Manager / COO or the Racquets Committee.
- Provide necessary compliance and cooperation with the Club’s accounting system to ensure smooth and accurate billings.
- Consistently assists the Director of Squash & Pickleball to keep the Pro Shop in top display condition at all times.
- Coordinates with the Director of Squash& Pickleball for personal tournament play opportunities, while ensuring the Club Members’ needs are consistently met.
- Assists in maintaining correct payroll records.
- Responsible for enforcing club rules for safety and conduct.
- Interacts as necessary with the Building Engineer and General Manager / COO to consistently ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the racquets house areas, locker rooms and changing areas, and storage areas.
- Adheres to all federal, state, and local laws regarding health, safety, and employment.
- Consistently manages and enforces all policies and procedures as stated in the Club’s current Employee Handbook in a manner which is fair and equitable to all employees of the Club.

- All other related or appropriate duties as required or assigned.

Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous way with Members and staff
PHYSICAL, SENSORY & MOTOR DEMANDS
Ability to be on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
PAY RANGE
20.00 - $25.00 hourly compensation (commensurate with experience), plus lesson commissions
