ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a Seasonal full time Security Officer Intern for the period of May 16, 2025 to September 7, 2025. The Security officer Intern will provide a safe and secure environment for the members, guests, and employees of the Westchester Country Club. This goal will be accomplished by providing a professional, cooperative, and courteous service to satisfy the needs of all members which include routine patrols; parking enforcement, monitoring surveillance cameras, writing incident reports, conducting investigations, fire safety awareness, AED/C.P.R., and First Aid assistance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Security Officer intern must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Assistant Director of Security including but not limited to:
- Maintaining a visible and physical presence while on duty so that all club activity can be always monitored to preserve order and protect property. Assist in all Security related situations.
- Patrolling club property to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure. Follow up on all suspicious activity.
- Ability to write a clear concise incident report for any accident, injury, rule infraction, property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or suspicious activity.
- Observe, document, and report all safety hazards.
- Provide assistance in various ways including opening/locking doors, responding to all fire alarm activations and investigate complaints, and providing basic first aid assistance to injured parties on club property when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Criminal Justice background and/or Security experience preferred
- CPR/AED certification
- Customer service oriented
- Must be able to communicate & interact professionally with members, guests, & employees.
- Large property with multiple buildings and facilities. Indoor/outdoor posts.
PAY RANGE
$17.00-$19.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience.
