BOOKKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION
The Bookkeeper is supervised by the Director of Administration.
This is a 15-25 hour per week position working in the Westchester Jewish Center office.
Accounts Payable
- Maintain all A/P in organized manner
- Prepare A/P on semi-monthly basis using Quickbooks Online
- Record A/P in correct accounting period in Quickbooks Online, reconciling with Bank Statements
- Process checks using BILL.com with Executive Director to ensure that checks are signed and sent in timely manner
Accounts Receivable
- Transfer deposits from ShulCloud to Quickbooks Online weekly
- Troubleshoot and reconcile any discrepancies between ShulCloud deposits, Quickbooks Online entries and bank statements
Payroll
- Liasion to outside payroll company
- Prepare semi monthly and monthly payroll for all employees
- File all payroll reports
- Distribute 1099s and W2s at year end
- File IRS report
Audit
- Assist Auditor in gathering information needed for annual audit
- Work with Auditor in going through information for the issuance of ongoing reports
Other
- Produce quarterly P&L reports
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
