Overview:

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a dedicated full-time Crime Victims Services Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our clients by managing service inquiries, maintaining program records, and providing direct advocacy and referral support.  The salary range is $50,000-$52,000.

 

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond promptly to service inquiries.
  • Conduct new client intakes and maintain detailed records in line with WJCS and OVS standards.
  • Manage a caseload of 8-10 clients, providing advocacy and support services to referred victims.
  • Assist program Advocates with follow-up calls and referrals, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Operate the program’s 24-hour hotline from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including creating and distributing the hotline schedule among staff; Forward after-hours calls to the designated hotline cell phone.
  • Track documentation and input data in compliance with OVS regulations.
  • Order necessary program materials and assist with data entry for program billing.
  • Coordinate with administrative support for the Trager Lemp Center for Trauma and Resilience clinical team.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Director and Advocate Supervisor.

 

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with computer skills.
  • Ability to understand the needs of program participants.
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to visit various sites.
